Me and a couple of my girls got here on a Friday morning and it was super hot. But I did enjoy the walk around the outlet. I was able to find a pair of Tory Burch sandals. My friend bought a pair of Tory Burch espadrilles for 90 bucks, but when I got back to sf, I went to Nordstrom rack. Such a price difference. I think I might just have to take a trip just to go shopping in Palm Springs.
I came here for the look out for a saint laurent card holder. But was not lucky at all. Not much food courts like most outlets, there is no shade and I didn't see an restrooms. I have been coming to this outlet for years. And no in and out privileges. I spend hundreds of dollars shopping here and you really can't provide free parking in the middle of nowhere??? There is still free parking on the Cabazon outlet side but it's insanely packed and difficult to find parking took us over 20 minutes to find one.
Also, they are doing major construction throughout the outlet making it difficult to access stores. They blocked off certain areas so you have to walk around just to get to the other side. Lots of noise and dust everywhere.
Desert Hills Outlets I'm really disappointed Great they had a huge selection of stores, but with the immense crowds, rude manners and so so pricing made it not worth it. Food court was so crowded that many were fighting for a table. Bathrooms were in horrible dirty conditions. Great stores, but always so damn hot! I guess I always go during the summer season.
Food court is decent and a great selection of stores. Now the mall is charging for parking. They can't justify this. This mall is just getting greedy. Call the mall and complain. I have not been here in years. The prices are amazing and the variety of high end stores is tremendous. I recommend you park your car at the beginning of the outlets next to McDonald's.
Use your Waze app to remind you where you parked or take a picture of where you parked. I say this, because I have gotten my car lost and it was embarrassing. Bring your walking shoes and some comfy clothes with you. Remember you are buying clothes, so using a fitting room is going to happen.
Come prepared to get dressed and undressed. It will make it much easier to try on clothes and not waste a lot of time. We walked from the beginning to the end of the outlets and noted the places we wanted to check out.
Our goal was on the way back to the beginning of the outlets to go into the stores we wanted too. The outlets are well maintained and the walk is enjoyable. I particularly liked the Levis, sunglass hut, and brighton store. They had helpful staff and answered all your questions. My biggest warning to shoppers of the outlets is to not go back to your car and drop your bags off!! Keep your bags with you and at the end of your shopping spree go to your car and leave with all your goodies.
I say this, because when I returned to my car there was a family who's car got broken into. Their window was broken and their stuff was taken. Don't leave any purses or things of value in the car. There is security in the parking lot, but the lot is immense and security cannot see everything in the lot.
Come down and shop and even if you are not shopping, take a walk and get some exercise: It is not a bad place to shop on a holiday weekend because kind of far from town.
They keep take away parking spaces and add more shops. So they build a large parking structure. Now the management get real greedy start charge a fee to park there, some open parking still free. Parking already bad when parking is free on holidays, now it make it worse to look for free parking. It is in a desert not downtown! Greedy, greedy management, bad business practice for employees, customers and affect Cabazon outlet free parking next door.
We should stop going there to give management a message. It's a little hit or miss, to be honest with you. I just got a pair of shoes there last month that I like so much I barely wear them So when you win, it's awesome.
Which, ultimately, it what outlet shopping is like. I like these outlets, but wouldn't say I love them. WTF, this place is in the desert.
So now their covered lot sits mostly empty. We will skip this place on our monthly trip to Palm Desert. Great stores and not crowded. We saved a Tom of money and had a great day of shopping. Maps made it easy to find everything we were looking for! The shops have great prices!
I finally went back since 3 years ago. It's still very nice! I noticed several new stores, but wouldn't remember what past stores they replaced. They're doing some construction these days, but all the stores are still open despite that. I really love how the arrangement is in one big line and you simply have to walk from one end to the other pretty much.
It's great that there's a shady path to walk along the entire way. I hate being out in direct sunlight for too long. There are 2 small-sized food courts, but neither one is too impressive in regards to the choices of eateries.
They almost have the exact same eateries in each food court. They should have made them with totally different places. Each time I've come, I got found great deals!
It's enjoyable to come here every years since I don't exactly live around the corner and I'm sure I'll continue to do so! What a wonderful place to get your walk on!!
